Cape Coral native, Donna Germain, IOM, FCCP, started her career with the Chamber of Commerce of Cape Coral in 2004 as its Membership Relations Manager. In 2005, she was promoted to Communications and Marketing Director. In 2015, Germain was named the new President/CEO of the Chamber of Commerce of Cape Coral.
In addition to her work with the Chamber, Germain sits on the board of directors for The Guardian Angels For Special Populations. She is a past board member of the Florida Association of Chamber Professionals where she served as the Chairman for the Southwest Region of Florida from 2015 - 2019. In 2018, she served as a member of The News-Press Editorial Board. She also served as a board member and 3rd Vice President for the Cultural Park Theatre and was a past Board Member of C.A.R.E.S. Suicide Prevention. She served on the planning committee for Relay For Life of Cape Coral for more than 10 years and served as the 2010 and 2011 Event Chair. Both years, the event was recognized as a TOP 25 Fundraising event out of hundreds of Relays in the state of Florida.
In 2011, Germain was recognized as one of Gulf Shore Business Magazines 40 Under 40. She is a 2005 graduate of the Leadership Cape Coral Program and a 2006 Graduate of the Advanced Leadership Cape Coral Program. In 2017, Germain graduated from the Institute For Organization Management and received the designation IOM. In 2019, she was awarded the designation of Florida Certified Chamber Professional (FCCP) from the Florida Association of Chamber Professionals.

Dr. Nicole King-Smith is CEO and founder of NK Enterprise Consulting, LLC. This results-driven professional currently consults organizations on how to achieve their desired results and overcome cultural workplace differences. As an expert in her field education is one of the many driving forces of Dr. King-Smith’s success as she is the first to successfully develop Keiser University’s Associates of Arts hospitality curriculum expanding it to four campuses throughout the state of Florida within three years. With over 20 years in the hospitality industry Nicole’s passion for the customer service experience is just one the many things that drives her success with her clients.
Dr. King-Smith has worked with several top Fortune 500 organizations and numerous community organizations. In her spare time, you can find Dr. King-Smith eating pizza somewhere since that is her absolute favorite food or out having fun with her husband and daughter. Don’t be surprised if you see her 60 feet below as she loves to scuba dive and snorkel while traveling.
As a speaker, writer, coach, and trainer, Doni mainly serves mid-level and senior business leaders who want more. They want to achieve more, want healthy, thriving relationships and want to create more balance and well-being. Originally from Pennsylvania, Doni served in several leadership roles in academia before moving to Florida in 2004. In 2010 she created Metamorphosis Coaching and Consulting specializing in leadership, communication, emotional intelligence, and mental resilience. She actively leads in her community and served a lifetime term of 12 years to her symphony Board where she was President for 10 years. Doni has been a member of the Education Committee of the Chamber of Commerce of Cape Coral since 2010 and is co-founder and rotating Chair for “Taste of the Cape.” Doni created “Lead Yourself First: 30 strategies to help all leaders” and her work was featured in the February 2017 issue of “Gulf Coast Woman.” She’s also a regular author for Emotional Intelligence online magazine. Her education includes a BS in Music Education, a Master’s in Educational Leadership and a Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology. She’s a certified Advanced Personal and Executive Coach through the College of Executive Coaching, certified through the International Coach Federation, is certified in Emotional Intelligence and is also a certified Positive Intelligence coach. Memberships include the International Coach Federation, American Psychological Association, Chamber of Commerce of Cape Coral, Above Board Chamber, Society for Human Resource Managers of Southwest Florida, and Southwest Florida Business Network. On many weekends you’ll find Doni performing on stage at BBMANN or at the symphony’s Music and Arts Community Center, jamming on either the double or electric bass.

Alison Free has over 30 years of experience as a trusted advisor, helping people with some of the most important decisions in their lives. As a Financial and Investment Advisor and an insurance representative holding her Series 7 and 66 licenses and her 215 insurance license, Alison believes in being proficient in all areas of retirement concerns. She is a Medicare expert, Certified in Long Term Care, a Life Insurance strategist and Financial Advisor as well as a bit of a Social Security guru. She focuses much of her time on educating wise people who understand the power of knowledge. In addition to her insurance and financial licenses, she also maintains a Florida Real Estate broker license. It was during her successful real estate career that she realized the importance of assisting self employed people to prepare for their retirement future.

Alison has a long history in this community. Moving to Cape Coral in 1986 before Cape Coral became one the most desirable waterfront Florida communities. She owned several small businesses, served on many community committees, served the Board of Realtors, and was President of the Women's Council of Realtors where she established lifelong friends. Alison raised her 4 beautiful daughters in Cape Coral and now they are raising their children in this amazing city as well. She is now "Nonnie" to 11 grandbabies and loves spending time with them as much as possible. Alison is a yogi and a skilled Craps player finding escape and peace in both challenges.
Marie Dizaine, MBA, DBA

Dr. Marie Dizaine is a firm believer in continuous learning and has worked in higher education for close to 20 years. As one of the first employees at Keiser University Fort Myers campus, she was able to acquire the necessary skills to successfully launch a new campus that is still striving today. Dr. Dizaine’s educational accomplishments include a Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Leadership for Managers and a Doctorate in Business Administration with a specialization in Global Organizational Leadership. Her publication involves the integration of humor in successful leadership.
As an Associate Dean of Academics and first-generation immigrant, she has had the privilege to give back to the field that has provided so much. She has also utilized her personal experiences and expertise to lead sessions in the Advanced Leadership Cape Coral Program. In her spare time, she loves to travel and appreciates the art of food!
Cherrie Morris MD, MS
Vice President Operations/ Chief Physician Executive. Cape Coral Hospital
Originally from New Jersey, Dr. Morris received her Bachelor of Science degree from William Paterson University, her Master’s Degree in nutritional biochemistry from Rutgers University and her Medical Degree from Rutgers Medical School. Prior to attending medical school, she lived in Washington DC for three years while engaged in research at the National Cancer Institute within the National Institutes of Health. Three days following her medical school graduation in 1994, she married her husband, Mike and moved to Tampa to begin her four-year obstetrics and gynecology residency training at the University of South Florida. “I have always had a passion to advocate for women, for their healthcare, education and a seat at the table, so choosing a specialty in obstetrics and gynecology was a calling that positioned me to be able to care for, educate, mentor and positively influence women in so many wonderful ways”. After completing residency, she moved to Fort Myers and joined Lee Health. “The first few years were kind of rough, I had both my children during residency and they were just babies when I joined the practice”. Throughout her career with Lee Health, Dr. Morris has served on numerous committees, held various leadership roles and mentored students. She also has been active in various community activities, mission trips and organizations. Her passion for leadership has been formally framed by participating in education through the Physician Leadership Institute and the American Academy of Physician Leaders. Currently, Dr. Morris is the chief physician executive for Cape Coral hospital. “It was a difficult decision to leave my clinical practice and enter into a full time administration position, but my passions had expanded into physician leadership and I knew this would be an incredible opportunity to apply all that I have experienced and learned to drive the best care for patients, all patients, on a much larger scale”. There is so much to accomplish and I am excited to work with amazing people who share the same vision and passion”.
Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer, LCEC
Denise Vidal is currently Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer for Lee County Electric Cooperative (LCEC). She has overall leadership responsibility for LCEC’s operations, including customer service, network infrastructure, and rates, along with all support functions. LCEC has been serving southwest FL communities for over 80 years – since 1940 – and currently has nearly 225,000 customers and more than 8,000 miles of energized line. Denise and the LCEC employees work effectively and efficiently every day to ensure customers receive reliable and competitive electric services and a quality customer experience.
Prior to serving as EVP & CEO, Denise was the Director of Finance and Accounting / CFO for LCEC for over 10 years. As CFO she had responsibility for all areas of LCEC’s financial operations, along with inventory, procurement, warehouse, program management, risk management, internal audit, compliance, and key account functions. In addition, Denise lead the strategic and business planning activities of the organization. Denise started with LCEC in April of 2003 and has had a variety of other responsibilities during her tenure including marketing, call center, customer service, office support services, fleet, and facilities management.
Prior to joining LCEC, Denise worked for Sprint Central Telephone (formerly Centel and United Telephone) in Overland Park, KS and Las Vegas, NV, also in various increasingly responsible positions, including accounting, payroll, key accounts, network interconnection, product management and product development.
Denise holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting, both from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). Denise serves on the board for the Foundation for Lee County Public Schools, is a Member at Large of the Horizon Council, and serves on the General Advisory Board for the Florida Southwestern School of Business and Technology. She is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) through the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) in which she’s been a member since 1993 and is currently on the Board of the IMA Southwest Florida Chapter. Denise holds various Toastmasters International designations and is a member of the Electric Toasters Club at LCEC.
